KINETIC WELLBEING

Kinetic Wellbeing takes a step beyond traditional fitness or obedience training, the activities focus on connecting body and brain, to promote physical health alongside improved focus, calm, communication, and confidence.

CanineKinetics’ approach recognises that movement influences not only how a dog functions physically, but also how they feel, learn, communicate, and interact with the world around them. Through purposeful movement and sensory experiences, dogs can develop improved co-ordination, confidence, emotional regulation, and body awareness, whilst building a stronger partnership with their owners.

Personalised support and coaching is tailored to each dog’s individual needs, because all dogs are different and learn in their own unique ways, and at their own pace. Some dogs benefit from developing confidence and body awareness, others from refining functional movement or supporting healthy physical development, many simply enjoy the opportunity to explore, engage and spend quality time with their owners in a fun, rewarding and enriching way.

Kinetic Wellbeing includes activities, movement patterns, and games to support physical and emotional health. Each movement is learnt in achievable steps, using kind, reward-based, shaping techniques, and always working within each dog’s own confidence and comfort levels.

Kinetic Wellbeing is designed to be an enjoyable, rewarding, and enriching experience that both dog and owner can share together; dogs love the opportunity to learn new movements and to engage with the sensory platforms and equipment. As dogs develop physical skills, confidence, and body awareness, owners often gain a deeper understanding of their dog’s communication, preferences, and individual needs. For many partnerships, the activities become much more than an exercise or training programme—they are an opportunity to spend quality time together, strengthen their bond, and enjoy learning more advanced movements and sequences as a team.

Kinetic Wellbeing Introduction and Assessment
60-minute consultation, assessment & introduction

Movement & Well-being Assessments take a whole-dog approach, exploring subtle changes in movement, posture, musculoskeletal and myofascial health, behaviour, and confidence, to build a clearer picture of how your dog is functioning and feeling. Because physical and emotional health are so closely connected, taking the time to understand subtle changes can help identify areas where support may be beneficial — or simply provide reassurance that your dog is moving, functioning, and feeling well.

Appropriate foundation activities can then be introduced to support these needs in a way that is comfortable, engaging and achievable for your dog.

Whether you have noticed something that doesn’t quite seem right, want to build on your dog’s existing fitness and abilities, or are simply looking for a new and enriching activity, this appointment provides an opportunity to understand your dog better and discover how Kinetic Wellbeing can support them.

This appointment can be enjoyed as a stand-alone experience or as the first step in your dog’s Kinetic Wellbeing journey.

Kinetic Wellbeing: Continuing the journey

Four × 40-minute appointments

These sessions provide an opportunity to build on your dog’s individual strengths and develop activities at a pace that suits them. Across four appointments, activities are gradually progressed to support confidence, communication, co-ordination, balance and movement skills in a positive and enjoyable way.

Ideal for dogs continuing their Kinetic Wellbeing journey, or for those with specific movement, fitness or wellbeing goals. The four appointments can be used as needed, with each session building on your dog’s progress and individual needs.

Ongoing Kinetic Wellbeing

For many dogs, Kinetic Wellbeing becomes an ongoing part of their lives, with sessions adapted over time as their needs, abilities and interests develop. Sessions can continue for as long as they are beneficial, supporting lifelong health, confidence and wellbeing.a
