KINETIC WELLBEING

Kinetic Wellbeing is CanineKinetics’ unique movement-based learning programme, designed to nurture those essential skills throughout every stage of life. Through carefully selected movement activities and sensory experiences, dogs learn to move with greater awareness, confidence and control, supporting both their physical and emotional wellbeing.

Rather than focusing on exercise alone, Kinetic Wellbeing helps dogs develop the foundations that underpin lifelong healthy movement. Sessions are designed to improve body awareness, co-ordination, balance, proprioception, core and lateral stability, confidence and resilience, while encouraging calm thinking, curiosity and positive emotional experiences.

Every programme is individually tailored because no two dogs are the same. Some dogs benefit from developing confidence and body awareness, others from refining movement quality or supporting healthy physical development. Many simply enjoy the opportunity to learn, explore and engage with their owners in a fun, rewarding and enriching way. Each activity is introduced gradually using kind, reward-based shaping techniques, always working within the dog’s own physical and emotional comfort levels.

Kinetic Wellbeing is not about creating canine athletes. It is about giving every dog the opportunity to develop the movement skills that support lifelong health, comfort and confidence.

Owners often tell me that, alongside the physical changes they observe, they develop a deeper understanding of how their dog learns, communicates and experiences the world. Sessions become an opportunity to strengthen partnership, build trust and invest in a healthier, happier future together.

Introduction to Kinetic Wellbeing

60-minute consultation & assessment

The ideal introduction for dogs and owners who are new to Kinetic Wellbeing.

During your consultation, we’ll begin by exploring how your dog moves, learns and interacts with their environment. Through an individual Kinetic Wellbeing assessment, I’ll identify your dog’s natural strengths, areas where they may benefit from additional support, and introduce activities designed specifically for their needs.

This appointment can be enjoyed as a stand-alone experience or as the first step in your dog’s Kinetic Wellbeing journey.

Kinetic Wellbeing Foundations

Four × 40-minute appointments

A personalised programme designed to build the movement skills that support lifelong health and wellbeing.

Across four sessions, your dog will gradually develop body awareness, co-ordination, balance, proprioception, core and lateral stability, confidence and movement quality through enjoyable, carefully tailored activities. Every programme progresses at your dog’s own pace, ensuring learning remains positive, achievable and rewarding.

This course is suitable for dogs of all ages, whether supporting healthy development, maintaining physical and emotional wellbeing through adulthood, promoting healthy ageing, or simply providing enriching activities that strengthen the bond between dog and owner.

Many dogs continue with regular Kinetic Wellbeing sessions after completing their initial course, allowing their skills, confidence and wellbeing to continue developing throughout life.

Please note: Dogs with existing injuries, orthopaedic conditions or rehabilitation requirements may be more appropriately supported through a Movement Rehabilitation Therapy appointment. Veterinary consent may be required before treatment begins.
